Terraria – Actualización «Journey’s End» se lanzará el próximo 16 de Mayo; Changelog
Luego de casi tres años sin nuevos updates, el developer Re-Logic anunció hoy que la esperada actualización 1.4 (previamente iba a ser la 1.3.6), titulada Journey’s End, llegará a Terraria el próximo 16 de mayo, como motivo del noveno aniversario del juego.
Journey’s End será la cuarta y última gran actualización del juego, que modificará o actualizará gran parte del contenido que actualmente se siente desactualizado u obsoleto (luego de haberse lanzado la versión 1.3.5 en abril del 2017). Journey’s End supondrá una nueva era para Terraria al brindar una experiencia completamente renovada con nuevas mecánicas de juego y más de 800 ítems.

New items
- Several new weapons:
- A new weapon named the Celebration Mk. II. It shoots multiple different types of fireworks in a similar fashion to the Celebration, but some appear to be affected by gravity.[forums 3]
- A weapon referred to as the «new and improved Star Cannon«. Like the Influx Waver, a secondary projectile appears when an enemy is hit with the primary projectile in order to deal extra damage.
- A new «final» sword which surpasses the Meowmere in power.[discord 3]
- A new spear, the desert-themed Storm Spear
- A new bow, the Blood Rain Bow, which shoots down blood-themed arrows from the sky in a straight line.
- A new gun, the Quad-Barrel Shotgun, which appears to be similar to the Boomstick. It is a reference to the 1979 American science fantasy horror film Phantasm.[discord 4]
- The Tragic Umbrella, a weapon related to the graveyard mini-biome.
- The Gladius, most likely a sword.
- A new desert-themed pickaxe, the Fossil Pickaxe.
- Multiple furniture sets with corresponding blocks and walls:
- Spider theme, as suggested on the forums[forums 4]
- Corruption theme, similar to Flesh Furniture[forums 5]
- Vortex[tweets 1] and Solar themes[tweets 2]
- Bamboo theme, likely sold by the Traveling Merchant[tweets 3][forums 2]
- Sandstone theme[tweets 4]
- Some new consumable food items, such as a burger, milkshake, hot dog, pizza, slice of cake (potentially implementing the Slice of Cake, resprited), and apples (which also hang on and fall from trees’ branches[forums 6]), and resprites of old foods.[forums 7][tweets 5]
- Roasted Bird, crafted from a Penguin at a Cooking Pot. Its tooltip is «Serving size: 1 child» and it grants the Well Fed buff for ten minutes.[tweets 6]
- Several new items from the Underground Desert (partly from new Sandstone Chests in now appropriately themed Underground Desert cabins) that assist in digging and mining,[discord 5] Scarab Bombs,[forums 8] and a new accessory, the Dunerider Boots, which have the tooltip «The wearer can run super fast, and even faster on sand»,[discord 6] among them.
- New Desert-themed paintings (one of them being called «Andrew Sphinx») and a Desert-themed fishing crate.[tweets 4]
- Desert Torch, a new type of torch.
- A new, special set of storage items consisting of the Void Vault and the Void Bag.[forums 9]
- The Void Vault is a 3×2 storage furniture item which can be placed.
- The Void Bag is similar to the Money Trough in that it summons a floating storage. It grants access to the Void Vault.
- If the player’s inventory is full, any items that could normally not be picked up will automatically move into the Void Vault storage. This is indicated by a purple pickup text and is only possible while carrying a Void Bag.
- The floating items spoiler from April 2018[tweets 7] was revealed to be an early experiment of the Void Vault.[tweets 8]
- Several new Minecarts.[discord 7] One of them resembles a fish, called «Minecarp».[tweets 9]
- A new mount resembling a lava shark.[forums 10]

Gameplay
- A new mechanic called «Block Swap», the ability to replace blocks based on the highest pickaxe power of a pickaxe in the player’s inventory without requiring to mine them first. - New wind mechanics and related additions:
- Wind effects on the animations of rain, trees, plants (including vines), lanterns, banners,[tweets 14] and wings.[forums 6]

- Master mode, a setting which increases the difficulty of the game even further than Expert mode.[forums 2] It enhances the stats of enemies and features two exclusive drops per boss, which are neither weapons nor accessories.[discord 21][discord 22]

- Placing many gravestones turns the area into a graveyard mini-biome with corresponding exclusive items, vanity, and atmosphere.
- When the player dies, a timer appears to show the player how much time they have left until they respawn.

World generation
- World generation will be revamped entirely, resolving numerous previous, minor issues.[forums 2]
